GRAND PALAIS
Expereience design, signage and wayfinidng, iconography, and map design for the Grand Palais, which has been restored with oversight from Chatillon Architectes. The wayfinding aims to minimize ecological impact and complement the architecture, with extruded clay and recycled aluminum that reinterpret the metal structure, baked clay mosaics and brickwork on the Palais. A variety of shapes and sizes live in harmony with the monumental space, adding an immediate legibility that doesn’t overwhelm, but welcomes. The system spills out to the surrounding avenues and metro stations, leading the public to the cultural icon.
